This Van Dorn Water Sampler by Aquatica Biotechnology, It's Ideal for sampling in waters that are stratified or with prevailing currents

Design
  • The new trigger (messenger operated) was designed to facilitate the loading of the bottle. It also allows the bottle to be attached to the main line.
  • All bottles include a tap on each plug to facilitate the removal of the sample.
  • It is possible to add a thermometer (range -10ºC/50ºC ) into the bottle, making it easy to see the temperature of the sample.
  • The 5kg Van Dorn weight may be added to improve the verticality of the sampling.

The following video shows how the bottle closing mechanism is triggered by a messenger.

New trigger

The top includes the new bottle trigger that allows it to be closed at the desired depth using a messenger. This new trigger also acts as the system for attaching the bottle to the main line.
